The border crossing, prepared before departure

Tanger Med is the crossing point for most of our flows to Europe. Our role: prepare that crossing, coordinate the parties and flag any blocking point.

An international transport is not decided on the road alone. It is also decided by the documents attached to the file, by when they arrive, and by who is waiting for them.

We do not replace your customs broker: we work with them. Our part of the job is to gather what belongs to the transport, pass it on in time and keep information flowing between shipper, broker, port and consignee.

01Our crossing points

A customs service at all three crossings of the corridor

We coordinate transport documents and crossing updates at Tanger Med, Calais and Folkestone with the relevant operators.

  1. 01

    Morocco

    Tanger Med

    Leaving Morocco

The starting point of most of our flows to Europe. Documents are gathered and checked before collection, the port slot is arranged, boarding is followed.

  2. 02

    France

    Calais

    Cross-Channel entry

We check transport documents before the Calais crossing to help reduce boarding delays.

  3. 03

    United Kingdom

    Folkestone

    Arrival in the UK

The terminal on the British side. We follow the vehicle's arrival and remain your single point of contact through to delivery, whoever handles the formality on site.

Before departure

We list with you the documents required for the transport and check that they are complete. An incomplete file is fixed at the office, not at the border post.

  • Identification of transport-related documents
  • Consistency check against the declared goods
  • Transmission to the parties concerned

At the Tanger Med crossing

The port crossing is a sequence: arrival, presentation, boarding. We follow that sequence and warn you if anything does not go as planned.

  • Coordination of the slot and presentation
  • Boarding follow-up
  • Immediate alert on any blocking point

On to Europe and the UK

Every destination has its requirements. The United Kingdom in particular imposes formalities that we anticipate with you before loading, not at boarding.

  • Check of destination-specific requirements
  • Anticipation of UK formalities
  • Continuous follow-up through to delivery

What we usually ask you for

  • 1 The exact nature of the goods and their packaging
  • 2 Weight and volume, or the number and type of pallets
  • 3 Full details of the loading and delivery locations
  • 4 The ADR classification where applicable: class, UN number, packaging
  • 5 The contact details of your customs broker and correspondents

RR Logistics is a road haulier. We coordinate the border crossing and prepare transport-related documents; we do not provide legal or tax advice and do not act in place of your customs broker.
